10 Ways of Healthy Aging

Lengthening lifespan brings with it the concept of healthy aging. People’s lifestyle, diet, and genetic structure affects healthy aging said Prof. Dr. Çağatay Öktenli Internal Medicine and Geriatrics Specialist at Anadolu Medical Center and he gave 10 suggestions for healthy aging.

  1. Keep your mind active by constantly learning new things
  2. Feed on a balanced and healthy diet
  3. Do not gain weight
  4. Stay fit by doing exercise
  5. Keep your sleeping pattern
  6. Make an effort to build social relationships
  7. Protect morale and motivation, fight stress
  8. Have a regular annual check-up
  9. Do not smoke, give up if you use
  10. Do not neglect your vaccinations
