15 Advice For Breastfeeding Moms

Dietician İpek Ağaca Özger has nutritional advices for breastfeeding mothers.

  1. Do not neglect to consume fish at least two times a week.
  2. Try to consume 1 egg every day.
  3. Give importance to the milk group.
  4. Do not forget grain foods group.
  5. Make sure that you get enough protein.
  6. At least 2 days a week legumes should be consumed.
  7. Beware of intake of vitamin D.
  8. Use iodized salt in cooking.
  9. Pay attention to your dessert choice.
  10. You can choose clear tea, decaffeinated coffee herbal teas such as chamomile, lime, mint.
  11. Consume every day for at least 1 handful of red fruits or vegetables.
  12. Consume every day for at least 1 handful of orange fruits or vegetables.
  13. Consume every day for at least 1 handful of green fruits or vegetables.
  14. Consume every day for at least 1 handful of white fruits or vegetables.
  15. Consume every day for at least 1 handful of purple fruits or vegetables.
