Antibacterial and Anticancer Property Of Tar Is Proved

The ONGUENT Project team, that is carried out in the partnership of France, Turkey, and Morocco, met at Üsküdar University to perform its latest scientific meeting. At the end of the project, the researchers shared that the tar provides highly antibacterial, antioxidant and anticancer activity.

Many active substances found in the content of Anatolian tar and many active substances that have new drug potential was proven by Turkish scientists for the first time.

The results of the long-term study showed that the tar has the potential to be used in the discovery of new cancer drugs, as well as there are many new molecules that may be drugs of many other diseases.
