Beware of These Recommendations When Consuming Meat

In recent years World Health Organization, points out that eating more than 500 grams of meat a week, may have negative effects on health. Acıbadem Ankara Hospital Internal Diseases and Gastroenterology Expert Assoc. Dr. Bülent Değertekin remarked that everyone should be careful about this issue even though there is no health problem and he gave suggestions.

  1. Eat the meat absolutely with vegetables and fruits to reduce the effect it may create.
  2. Be careful that the meat you consume is as lean as possible.
  3. Bite the meat thoroughly to facilitate digestion and minimize digestive problems.
  4. Choose meat cooked by grilling or scalding.
  5. Try not to consume meat 4 hours before bed to make digestion even more difficult.
  6. Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day to avoid constipation.
  7. Do not drink the high-calorie beverage with meat.
  8. Help your digestive system by trying to move as much as possible during the day.
