Dental Problems Can Be Seen In Menopause

İstanbul Aydın University Faculty of Dentistry faculty member Asst. Assoc. Dr. Süleyman Emre Meşeli said that the changing in hormonal balance with menopause, bring in a number of oral and dental health problems.

“Increased bleeding gums, brighter gum surface, swelling of the gums, sensation of slimming in soft tissues that lining iner of gum and mouth are one of these problems. Even osteoporosis (associated menopause) can not cause melt in jawbones directly can be seen as a risk factor.”
