Epiduroscopy Method in the Treatment of Herniated Disk

Memorial Antalya Hospital from Neural and Spinal Surgery Department Op. Dr. Cenk Ermol informed about the method of epiduroscopy in the treatment of a hernia.

“Epiduroscopy is suitable for small and medium-sized herniated discs. The procedure is performed locally without general anesthesia in the operating room environment. At the beginning of the procedure, the patient is comforted and anesthetized and at the end, the patient is awake. After the operation with a 3 mm catheter and an average of half an hour the patient can be discharged within 1 to 2 hours. The patient may return to work the next day of the procedure and perform daily activities. In this method, all herniated disk can be intervened in the same sessions.”
