Every 3 Secs 1 New Dementia Is Diagnosed

The incidence of Alzheimer’s disease, a brain disorder caused by impairment of mental function, will show a significant increase over the next 30 years. According to the report of the World Health Organization, 1 person is diagnosed with dementia every 3 seconds and more than half of all cases are Alzheimer’s disease. It is expected that the number of patients from 47 million in 2015 to 75 million in 2030 and 135 million in 2050.
