Foods That Make Us Happiest And Stressed

Dietitian Gizem Şeber explained how foods affect our emotions.

“Nourishment high in tryptophan and carbohydrates make us happiest. Foods rich in carbohydrates; whole-grain breads, whole grain pasta, cracked wheat legumes such as quinoa peas and dried beans. Foods rich in tryptophan; nuts, sesame, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, cheese, meat, chicken, fish, turkey, shrimp and eggs. Foods with high glycemic index can cause us to feel aggressive. High glycemic index foods; white flour, white sugar, white bread, white rice, potatoes in the form of hot and porridge, fruits such as watermelon and cantaloupe.”
