Less Scarring with Minimal Invasive Procedure

Cardiac surgeries can now be performed using the ‘minimally invasive’ method. Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. Barış Çaynak gave important information about minimally invasive surgery.

“Minimally invasive KVC accelerates the patient’s healing process. The faster the patient heals, so quickly return to everyday life. Trauma-related surgery of the patient is less. During the operation, the rib cage is not opened. The patient may not have blood transfusions, the risk of infection of the patient is reduced, the period of stay in the labyrinth care and in the hospital is less. This method has a serious psychological advantage on the patient. Many people today do not want to go on with the rest of their lives with a long scar on their chest. Because it can lead to different traumas. The smaller the surgical incision and less the bone trauma, patients return the faster to their daily lives. Especially in female patients, these types of cuts are usually cut under the chest. Therefore it does not take place in a region that appears to be cosmetic.”
