Proper Use of Lenses in 3 Steps
The right lens selection is as important as choosing the right lens.
From Dünyagöz Altunizade Assoc. Dr. Levent Akçay expressed that from the purchase process to the use of the lenses, it is necessary to pay particular attention to the 3 steps and to do periodic checks every 6 months.
“In the first step, the eye examination should be done for the suitability of the lens. Contact lenses purchased without trial lens and without physician control are much more likely to cause problems on the eye surface. In the second step, the use of contact lenses should be particularly careful with hand, face and eyelash cleansing. Wash hands for at least 1 minute before wearing or removing the lens. In the last step, the lens should not be worn until the infection is completed in diseases such as cold, flu, upper respiratory tract infection to ensure correct lens use and to minimize complaints.”
