September 15 International Prostate Cancer Awareness Day

Prostate cancer, which is the most frequent in men around the world, ranks first among males in the United States. Each year in the United States 650-700 thousand, 350 thousand people in Europe are diagnosed with prostate cancer.

“With the newly developed focal therapy, the tumor center in the prostate cancer is destroyed by burning. Thus, the side effects that can occur in conventional surgery and radiation treatment cannot be seen and eliminating the focus of cancer can be provided,” said Prof. Dr. Faruk Yencilek, Urology Department Chairman at Yeditepe University Hospital.
