Sperm Count in Men Decreases by 50 Percent

Acıbadem Kozyatağı Hospital Urology Expert Assoc. Dr. Hakan Özveri indicated that the sperm shortage problem is among the issues that prevent men of being a father. “The number of sperm in men is gradually falling. Research shows that the sperm rate in the last 50 years has decreased by 50 percent. For example, 50 million years ago there was 120 million sperm, now the number is now 60 million.” he said.

Assoc. Dr. Hakan Özveri stated that moreover, the sperm loss that reduces the likelihood of being a father will not remain. He drew attention that there are scientific studies related to the sperm cells will disappear completely in the next 50 years. Well, why is this happening?
