Turkish Invention in IVF
Turkish scientists have discovered a new device that has multiplied the success rate of in vitro fertilization. Obstetrics and Gynecology, IVF Specialist Op. Dr. Betül Görgen gave the following information about the discovery of Erkan Tüzel from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Utkan Demirci in the department of radiology and electrical engineering from Stanford University.
“Thanks to the new device developed by Turkish researchers, women who receive in vitro fertilization therapy will achieve faster success with fewer trials. This device, which can be used in clinics, is called Spartan. This device comes from a three-dimensional area that forms a path of disability for the floating sperm cells. The strongest and healthiest sperm are passed through this array in the fastest way, and those who are out are used in the IVF process.
The selection process can be from 5-30 minutes using Spartan. This device also allows for less money from the patient’s pocket. It makes it possible to achieve success in pregnancy, faster and in less time.
The date of delivery of the great device to the market is predicted as July 2018.”
