Which Foods Should We Consume For Eye Health?
Nutrients have an inportant role for our eye health. From Dünyagöz Altunizade Hospital Prof. Dr. Tayfun Bavbe listed the foods that are beneficial for eye health as follows.
Beta carotene sources
Carrot and carrot juice, sweet potato, squash, orange and orange juice, melon, mango, apricot, cabbage, spinach, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts and fish oil.
Vitamin C sources
Citrus fruits and juices, papaya, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, kiwi, broccoli, green and red pepper, cauliflower and cabbage.
Vitamin E sources
Wheat germ, almond and almond paste, peanut and peanut paste, lunar kernel, flaxseed, avocado and egg.
Lutein and zeaxanthin sources
